If anyone that reads this has psoriasis, please let me know. I think I may just have it. I've had this unbelievable dry skin that is continuously flaking off in rather big chunks (LOL WUT) rather than ashy skin for the past 4 months around my eye. I've been doing a lot of research and I do think that may be what it is. However, whenever I try to look for pictures I only really find the severe conditions. I do not know what else it could possibly be. My skin is red, inflammed, itchy, and pretty much every symptom you get from having mild plaque psoriasis. The thing is...I have no money and no time to get to a dermatologist, so I'm going to have to try and start looking up for some home remedies in the time being. I'm just worried about putting something on the skin that will irritate it even more. (Which I'm sure I've already done by testing out different lotions on my skin when I first got it.)
At first I wasn't worried about it because it was such a small patch just above my eyelid. But now it covers everything from my eyelid to my eyebrow and has made its way even underneath my eye. It feels as if the skin is tightening and gathering by above the corner of my eye and it looks as if it is swollen. What I am most worried about is the fact that I read that if it actually reaches where the eyelashes are, the eye lid can actually fold upward or under. And if it folds under...can you guess what that means? EYELASHES IN MY EYE 24/7. I'm not looking forward to that.
I'm also very upset because I have no idea how long it takes these thing to clear up and I'm going to ocean city next week (june 27th). I am NOT pleased about it.
So if ANYONE has any personal advice or knows someone or anything...it will be greatly appreciated. Please!
Tootles love!

/Dani

To the mandatorium!
It definitely sounds like Psoriasis though. My step-dad and brother both have it too.

I always report stolen artwork. If you do too, paste this into your signature.
Stupidity should be painful.
Especially to Twitards.
I did how ever find some stuff on treatments. If you think it is PP
you need to go to the ER and get it checked out. Something can always
get infected and get worse.
I think you'll be fine. PP is not deadly from what I read.

The thing that helps my skin most is the sun. A few people I know of go on the sun bed a few times a week and that seems to keep it under control (Although I've never tried this so I'd get some advice first)
The only creams or lotions that irritate my skin are ones that are perfumed. Do you have E45 cream in America?
If you're stressed or upset it can make it worse too, since psoriasis is connected to the nervous system.
I can't be entirely sure whether or not it's psoriasis (I really hope it's not
Try and see a specialist as soon as you can though, just in case - especially if it gets any worse.
I hope this helps
